I was one of the lucky ones to receive and ARC for this book, Catch the Sun by Jennifer Hartmann. My immediate thoughts going into this book were how magnificent the characters were. One of the things I love the most about Jennifer Hartmann's writing is that she truly knows how to make the character feel like a real person. That's how I felt about every character in this book. Especially Max & Ella. I loved the banter, it's truly done very well. I loved the tension and the emotional range she gives these young characters. It's a small town, next door neighbor, first love YA romance with some heavy topics. I would read your trigger warnings on this one. Overall, I loved the pace, growth and the story line. I highly highly recommend this book. If you haven't preordered it, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

This book is a masterpiece. I laughed. I cried. I sobbed. I fell in love and all the things. I don't know what it is about K M Moronova's writing that makes my soul speak, but I've never had this kind of connection before with characters from a book. I highly HIGHLY recommend reading this book only after you've read The Fabric of Our Souls. I also Highly recommend you set aside an entire day and a box of tissues for recovery. This story was absolutely heartbreaking. I love Lanston & that he finally found what his soul was craving. I'm so sad that this is over.
If you loved Forget Me Not, you will love this book. There is some character crossover but you don't need to have read Forget Me Not to enjoy Not Another Love Song. This book had tension, it had the spice, it had the romance and heartbreak. It was full of self discovery for both the FMC & MMC. I think I loved Forget Me Not more, just because that book takes place in the wedding world and as a wedding photographer, it was very easy to relate and understand the pressure. This book I almost felt a little out of my depth because it follows along in the music/orchestra world so I couldn't relate and the connection there was difficult for me. However, Julie does a really great job of explaining and making it as simple as possible without compromising the integrity and importance of that world. I recommend this book to anyone who loves chick lit. If you love books by Abby Jimenez or Ashley Poston, this book and Forget Me Not would be right up your alley. The only reason this book didn't get 5 stars from me is, as mentioned above, I just had an issue with the connection into the world. Otherwise this is a solid 4 star read!

Do you all want an absolutely unhinged book review? Here you go... WHAT THE F$@K DID I READ? This book had me covering my freaking eyes. It was creepy and gross and made me never want to touch or be touched by anything ever again. While yes, the story was captivating and had you invested from the very beginning it was 100% the worst. I actually did really enjoy the story. I would say if you have any kind of germophobia - don't read this book. Keep walking. Don't even look at it. Because ICK. I wasn’t prepared for the mental images Nick Cutter left me with, but personally... I don’t regret it. I think I might even pick up The Deep. Creep factor: 8/10. This was gross but good job.
I felt like this was a good read but it was just a little slow for me. It didn't really get "mystery" ish for me until the last two parts. Which is fine, the story line was good and it kept me invested. I really enjoyed the characters and the growth. I loved that our MMC was morally on the right side of things. The dynamic between him and his daughter, his sister and his sisters foster child really made me feel like these were realistic relationships. I tend to love that more than something that just feels absolutely out of left field. I would recommend this book to my friends who love a good mystery with some psychological elements.
I picked up this book because I saw a hilarious video on TikTok from a content creator I adore. I am happy to say that this book did not disappoint. Our MMC, Rennick, is a morally black cinnamon roll. Don't ask me how, he just is and it works. Our FMC is perfectly sassy. I very much enjoyed the fact that Rennick was completely unhinged. It works for him and there were times I was laughing a little too loudly. The spice in this book caught me completely off guard. I knew there was spice but PHEW, this one had my jaw SLACK.

This book gave me Puppet Master vibes from the start. I was scared of this book but in a “This shit is crazy, wtf is happening” kind of way. I also can’t look at my daughter’s dolls in her room the same way now. I just want to burn them all to a crisp. Please don’t read this book if you already have a fear of dolls or possession of any kind. You won’t sleep. Creep factor 7/10.
Ok let’s get into this. I thought this was going to be a lot darker than it was. I did enjoy it though. Livia and Erik fought so hard to hate each other but couldn’t figure out how not to fall. Hard. He is so protective of her and it really gave me goosebumps. I hated that I struggled knowing if he was using her and if he was going to wind up double crossing her in the end. I feel like I still don’t know even now really. Same for her, honestly. I guess we are going to have to keep going with the series to make sure I don’t get this wrong and want to burn the world to the ground.
