While I admire the massive undertaking that writing this book must’ve been, it wasn’t for me. I never felt like I moved beyond reading a science textbook. The science in this fiction was convincing, but I can’t say I felt the same for the plot.
I can’t believe how poorly written this book is. If you’re trying to celebrate the life of a philanthropist, why on earth would you make them absolutely unappealing? I find it hard to believe that Marjorie Post was actually this spoiled and obnoxious.
Funny, but I got pretty bored after a bit. Just not my style.
Hmph. RF Kuang. Not what I expected, definitely an engaging, DEEP think. This one is gonna stick with me.
Absolutely loved this. Fascinated and captivating.
LOVED the writing. Could’ve been shorter… there were more and less interesting parts but it kept me interested enough to want to see it through to the end. A peculiar and interesting world for sure.
