I loved reading Elfangor's story, his POV is so self-aware, has a great character arc and by the end just wants peace and love.

I even cried a little for him and Tobias, the family they could have been all 3 together but didn't get the chance

Hear me out, I started this saga almost jokingly, because I saw a lot of people saying it was a Twilight parody, an outlandish attempt to make fun of the

ordinary human discovering supernatural beings exist and being either enthralled or unfazed by it overdone trope... and let me tell you, I got that feeling from the first book, it mocks YA and several common tropes but it also has SOME plot to it, eccentric as it may be.

By this second book I was truly invested, even if the writing style is trying a little too much at times to be contemporary and some characters seem fla;, the twists and turns, the amount of characters we follow and get to care for, the romance and even the political subplot were engaging and fun to read.

Special props to the Graphic Audio narrators, because it made me feel in tune with them and Hudson's voice and accent were JUST enough to embrace him being the mysterious and complicated new MMC.

I'm doing a reread of this series for two reasons. Firstly, I'm into audiobooks FINALLY and specially graphic audios gave me a totally new experience of reading, so tackling them one series at a time seemed like a great way to do it. And secondly, I've been meaning to read again the series that started it all for me, after having read all of SJM published books (as of now), trying to find connections, deeper meanings, easter eggs and fun theories while we wait for the next book.

So, this time around, I actually got how problematic Tamlin was in some lines, but it surprised me to also understand their relationship better, that he was what she needed at the time, and we all know she was exactly what him and all of Prythian needed her to be,

Is it a spoiler by now? Just in case, I think even then she was not for him and could not tell him she loved him.. maybe because she did love being safe, fed and taken care of, but there was never a deeper connection?

I also found more love and empathy for Lucien this time around and hope for him to have so many good things after all he went through. Gonna continue with the series and report back!

My man Dante Russo with his Italian words, questionable attitude and general grumpiness is THE ONE

Godddd, the bittersweet of this one, knowing we would lose Sam but still getting to know and love him a little bit more each page, it should be named torture!

I obviously loved ToG as a series with all my heart, but if I had to choose one book to reread as a comfort read it would be no doubt this one, it has everything I need: heartbreak, love, fluff, character growth, turns and twists. I honestly applaud the fact that even as I knew the gist of it after reading the whole series, I was on the edge of my seat and going 'no no no, just leave now' just to give them a chance to grow that pure love

I don't know how I truly feel about this book. It's my first Schwab book, though I have many on my TBR because she makes interesting premises. I started and paused this book 5 times in the lapse of 18 months because it was just boring at times.

I really loved and was surprised by some parts of it, the going back and forth between places and years made me anxious at times, when I was invested and then the narration pulled me away to a different setting, just to go back 2 chapters later.

Some twists were awesome and I think I would appreciate it more on a re-read after knowing the characters better and their struggles/experiencies. BUT the ending felt very underwhelming to me, one that I would understand if there was a sequel but for a stand-alone it feels inconcluse.

After everything Addie and Henry go through, I felt they deserved to go with a blast, not a quiet flame and a nostalgic book. Which, now I talk about them together, I never felt the romance flow. Like I UNDERSTAND we should ship their relationship because they finally found each other and it's everything they ever wanted... BUT it always felt like they only wanted each other because they filled their premade ideal partner, not because of anything in the (short) time they had together.

Then, as a morally grey lover, I WANTED so bad to fall for Luc, he was intriguing, tortured/lonely, misunderstood, bla bla; but it NEVER went deeper than that, we know of 300 years of their time together (on and off) and not a single toe-curling moment where Addie explains her feelings, which are conflicting for obvious reasons but sound shallow/superficial (like everything she tells us).

I wanted to connect with the characters but never found a right fit. Maybe on a future re-read the rating will improve, we'll see

This was my first series on Graphic Audio, and really the 6th or 7th audiobook I got through.

Usually, I find it hard to follow the rhythm of the narrators, I either disassociate and have to go back a few seconds or feel bored and want it to pick up the pace. I guess that's because I went almost 30 years with my inner voice doing all the work with paperbacks/e-books.

BUT let me tell you that I adored this way of living and breathing a book through a full cast with sound effects and dramatization. It helped that Fourth Wing is a book I have been excited to read but felt it would ruin me a la ACOTAR, which it still did, leaving me with a big hangover and DNFing more books that usual because they're nothing like this awesome universe.

About the story I have little to say, being a 'typical' romantasy book that did EVERY trope it went with in a tasteful and incredible way, and staying far away from the more tiring and overused ones.

I fell irrevocably in love with Violet, her struggles and her resilience, and OF COURSE shadow daddy Xaden has my heart forever and ever. But many characters felt more mature and substancial than most books, Rhi, Mira, Imogen, our beautiful and sweet Liam, Bhodi, Garrick. I feel like I've known and loved them for ages, kind of when you read fanfiction and it's characters you already know but in a different light, situations or universe. That's how close to them I instantly felt!

Can't wait to read other series by Rebecca and of course counting the days until book 3

Isa Isa Isa, you’re the cutest free spirit with a penchant for saying the most inappropriate thing in front of poor Kai. And I fricking love it

These opposites attract each other and it gets steamy on the library, and the piano room, and a barber themed bar, and it goes on

I rooted for her to finish her book, for him to be CEO and mostly for them to end un together, almost dreading the third act breakup which I knew was coming

My oh my I loved her relationship with her brothers (leaving the a-hole out even if he had ‘good intentions’) and it was refreshing and cute seeing a more domestic couple to put it some way, just enjoying ordering in and playing scrabble some times instead of going to fancy galas, because they just enjoy being with each other no matter the activity

THIS BOOK HAS SUCH A CHOKEHOLD ON ME it’s unreal

My baby Àle is hurting, we see her suffer in silence in the previous books and now she got to her limit. It broke her heart, Dom’s and mine as a reader

The swoons I swooned with Xavier Castillo have no explanation!

He starts off as nonchalant and indifferent but it all comes from his insecurities, which let me say combine with Sloane’s guardness and cold mask perfectly and the way they help each other heal is written BEAUTIFULLY
