This is a thing I have read now. I feel weird rating this cause its a coloring book with small passages or quotes so I probably won't rate it.
There were several beautiful, moving poems in here. And I loved the concept of this collection. However, there were several poems that felt like filler to beef up the page count and make a full "collection." Those poems felt repetitive and contrived.
This was okay. Only a few of the stories really stuck with me. The rest were not bad, but not memorable.
I enjoyed this book, but I felt that the ending was a little too drawn out especially since this is the first book of a trilogy.
DNF @ 40%. Nope. This is an improvement compared to Night Angel which I tried to read several years ago. But not enough for me to try and finish this novel. At this point, I'm just call it and say Brent Weeks is not an author for me.
DNF at 31%.
I don't think Victoria Aveyard is an author for me. I struggled with the Red Queen series, and I find myself struggling to get into this novel. I would normally push through but it seems based on reviews if you aren't enjoying this from the start it doesn't get better.
