5⭐️ Such an emotional roller coaster again… it was too much of a heartbreak to bear … and I was hoping for a better ending for the main character… out of everyone her journey was the most painful and even in the end it wasn’t a happy ending for her as it was for others… everyone else seemed to move on and have families, kids and she was the only one who was an afterthought to everyone… it’s just sad to see how things were back then and how mistreated the Vietnam veterans were… so tragic… be mentally prepared to read this book…
5⭐️ I really enjoyed this book from the beginning to the end… loved the ending, the miracle that happened and it made the book more bearable emotionally…

5⭐️ what a difficult topic, cruel reality and ugly truth… really liked this book and the way it was written… such tragic stories make us remember the history that everyone tries to forget or think it never happened … I was hoping until the last chapter that there will be a happy ending…

4.5⭐️ Usually I try to read books before seeing the adaptations… this time Ive seen the movie before reading the book…and I was surprised that the plot was almost identical until the very end… sooooo i liked both plots, which is somewhat rare for me :)
I enjoy reading fiction based on historical events/facts… and this book was no exception…
it’s not an exciting subject to enjoy reading about it rather a sad one that makes you think and realize how we got here and how it used to be… and probably have a long ways to go…

5⭐️ I really enjoyed this book… the storyline, the characters, the writing style that gets your attention from the beginning and not once something I was distracted from the story… was so invested in it that kind of felt part of it too! Very fun read and close to reality which makes it even better…
