A couple of other guys show up trying to kill Lake. Life has suddenly become very complicated for Lake. Lake grew up at the center of Sisu Station raising roaches in the cr che. After some extraordinary actions, Lake was able to leave that life and became a cop. After Lake left the police force he became a PI, and does his best to not get noticed by anything or anyone from his past. With Holly's death, all aspects of Lake's past come crashing down on him at once. Lake realizes he's become a very convenient scapegoat. What began as trying to find out who murdered Holly and sent assassins after him quickly becomes a race to stay alive.
