They are guarded here by the Guardia, a team of humans with powers that have been passed down through time, and a lot of iron etc. This novel is about the situations that arise as these demons struggle to break free. The writing is superb. I could see the statues coming to life as Mab painted them. The fight scenes were rock solid. Bob Mayer's military experience really shines through here.
