Notes:

Angel Dust Apocalypse is published by Eraserhead Press.
The author, Jeremy Robert Johnson (JRJ), has a unique way of revealing the complexities of his characters' minds.
Readers draw comparisons between JRJ and H.P. Lovecraft for his evocative storytelling style.
JRJ's stories explore themes of drug use, biotech, and neurological damage rather than cosmic horror.
'Wall of Sound' is a three-part story that depicts a scary, drug-addled rave culture.
The collection does not glamorize drug use; instead, it highlights the dangers involved.
The story 'Swimming in the House of the Sea' features a young man and his mentally challenged brother and is more straightforward.
Readers who enjoy bizarre fiction and horror will find this book appealing.
The book is part of the 'Bizarro' genre, which is known for its unconventional and often surreal narratives.
'Dissociative Skills' is particularly graphic and left one reader horrified.
The author mentions influences from films like 'Memento' and 'Irreversible' in the story 'Precedents.'
The short story 'Priapism' deals with taboo topics and is likely to shock some readers.
Jeremy Robert Johnson has co-authored a novel that received a Bram Stoker Award nomination.
The opening story 'The League of Zeroes' discusses extreme body modification in a futuristic setting.
The collection includes stories that evoke feelings of nostalgia for the late 90s and early 2000s music scene.
'Snowfall' is a poignant story set in a post-nuclear apocalypse viewed through the eyes of a deaf child.
Many stories redefine self-exploration and challenge personal boundaries with dark humor.
'The Sharp Dressed Man at the End of the Line' features absurd elements like suits made of cockroaches and Twinkies.

From The Publisher:

As of 2021 all of these stories reappear across the collections ENTROPY IN BLOOM and ALL THE WRONG IDEAS!

Meth-heads, man-made monsters, and murderous Neo-Nazis. Blissed out club kids dying at the speed of sound. The un-dead and the very soon-to-be-dead. They're all here, trying to claw their way free.

From the radioactive streets of a war-scarred future, where the nuclear bombs have become self-aware, to the fallow fields of Nebraska where the kids are mainlining lightning bugs, this is a world both alien and intensely human. This is a place where self-discovery involves scalpels and horse tranquilizers; where the doctors are more doped-up than the patients; where obsessive-compulsive acid-freaks have unlocked the gateway to God and can't close the door.

This is not a safe place. You can turn back now, or you can head straight into the heart of...

the ANGEL DUST APOCALYPSE
