I want to make it clear that at this juncture in my life I do not read to expand my mind, but rather to escape it and this boook was astonishingly effective.

A friend of mine is quite the snob and would never read something like this because it doesn't add to the canon in any way—by clever wordsmithing or novel premise. Honestly, it serves him right because he will never know the utter joy and delight of giggling and kicking one's feet over the purely escapist and wonderfully addicting adventure and partnership featured in this series.

Veronica is my inspiration. I aspire to be as pithy as she is. She is a Victorian Gilmore Girl.

I always enjoy this series. And that book was a great addition to it. I really had a lot of fun. This was what I needed right now.

I read the first two books in this series this year and it was nice to get back to those characters now. I didn't even notice that I missed them, but when I returned to this world again, I had the feeling that I was meeting good friends. Veronica and Stoker are such extraordinary main characters. The dialogues between them are simply brilliant. It was fantastic to see their relationship develop again.

The plot was very good too, as always in this series. We learn a lot more about Stoker's past and finally meet his ex-wife. The action is fast. There are also some interesting twists. The writing style of this author is, as always, light and full of humor. This is really great fun.

I didn't wait too long to read the third book in this series after I finished the second, even though I don’t read all the books in the series at once these days anymore. I had so much fun with this book that I probably won't wait long to read the next one either. This is a really good series. I am glad that I have a few books already published waiting for me.
