Most girls might think twice before getting engaged to someone like Reyes Farrow-but Charley Davidson is not most girls. She's a paranormal private eye and grim reaper-in-training who's known to be a bit of a hell-raiser, especially after a few shots of caffeine. Her beloved Reyes may be the only begotten son of evil, but he's dark and sultry and deeply sexy and everything Charley could hope for. Really. But when the FBI file on Reyes' childhood happens to land into her lap, she can't help herself: She opens it...and then the real fun begins. First, Charley finds a naked corpse riding shotgun in her car. Then, a man loses his soul in a card game. Throw in a Deaf boy who sees dead people, a woman running from mobsters, and a very suspicious Reyes, and things can't get any worse for Charley. Unless, of course, the Twelve Beasts of Hell are unleashed… Sixth Grave on the Edge is the sixth Charley Davidson novel from bestselling author Darynda Jones

Sixth Grave on the Edge was another crazy, sexy, fun installment of
Charley Davidson. It's no wonder the girl has ADD, so many things are happening around her at once it's hard to keep them all straight. But, she always finds a way to help the helpless, survive the baddies, support her friends and family, and squeeze in some hot moments alone with Reyes. Her snark and quirky humor may be a turn off for some, but I love it. I also love the funny chapter titles Darynda gives us; they make me want to expand my T-shirt collection and start buying bumper stickers.
In this, the sixth book in the series, Charley tries to rescue a man's soul, bargain with a soul dealer without losing hers, learn the identity of some lost souls, offer relief to a tortured soul, temper the heat flaring between two young souls, bring together two stubborn souls, and save the soul of the man she loves. In between all of that, we learn a bit more about her abilities and the enormity of her power. Questions still remain however. And, while it's like being given a few pieces to a puzzle a year at a time, it's so much fun watching it slowing start to form a picture.
I'm thrilled beyond description that Darynda is offering us TWO Charley books in one year. I'm anxious awaiting book 7, [b:Seventh Grave and No Body|19286674|Seventh Grave and No Body (Charley Davidson, #7)|Darynda Jones|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1394039455s/19286674.jpg|27334873].
