My father has a lot of enemies, and after his terminal diagnosis, he has to marry me off to someone powerful enough to protect me after he's gone. He chooses Maverick De Ville-a man that terrifies me. Rich and handsome, he doesn't need an arranged marriage, but he does need something from my father-and marrying me is the only way to get it.
