From The Publisher:

The New York Times Bestselling duo behind Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist and The Twelve Days of Dash & Lily return with twins out to throw the party of a lifetime-or at least the best party of high school!

Siblings Sam and Ilsa Kehlmann have spent most of their high school years throwing parties for their friends-and now they've prepared their final blowout, just before graduation.

The rules are simple: each twin gets to invite three guests, and the other twin doesn't know who's coming until the partiers show up at the door. With Sam and Ilsa, the sibling revelry is always tempered with a large dose of sibling rivalry , and tonight is no exception.

One night. One apartment. Eight people. What could possibly go wrong? Oh, we all know the answer is plenty. But plenty also goes right, as well...in rather surprising ways.

Twins Sam & Ilsa are know for throwing ridiculous dinner parties for friends at their grandma’s posh New York apartment. As they are nearing the end of high school, they decide to throw one final party as a good-bye to their former life as well as the apartment since their grandma is selling it to move to Paris. The rules of the night’s party is simple: each twin invites three guests and the other twin doesn’t know who they are until the person arrives.

The book was entertaining in the way the story was told in alternating chapters. I feel the authors did a good job of creating two separate characters who are at war with their identity as a twin as well as at war with who they want to be. As if currently stands, Sam is a musical prodigy who sabotaged his Juilliard audition and Ilsa is unsure of who she is wants to stays frozen in the past by remaining in her grandma’s apartment as a nanny after new owners by it.

I was mildly entertained by the book in that as each guest arrived, it was interesting to see how the group dynamics changed. Between exes, mystery guests and a frenemy, stable Sam and reckless Ilsa create a party which is sad and exciting. My biggest take away from this book is that only you can decide when to leave and change you life or stay and reinvent yourself and that no one, not even your twin can made this decision for you.
