Friday Night Bites picks up with Merit moving out of Mallory's and into Cadogan House. From there, things go down hill. Merit's experiencing a lot of change all at once and relationships in her life are suffering.

The first 2/3 of this one had me wishing for what we we were gifted in book #1, a fast paced story with humor, action and hot sexual tension. Instead we got a mega dose of recaps. Once the story finally picked up it rolled right along and all was once again right in my world.

Merit and Mallory are both struggling with their new powers and the effects they have on their lives, while maintaining their friendship. Merit and Ethan have some tense moments. I could predict from early on (in this book) how things were going to go for Merit and Morgan, which kinda bummed me out a bit. Merit must spend time with the people she's happy to be away from ... her family. Their awkward reunion was interesting since we didn't get much of them in the first book.

I'm anxious to read [b:Twice Bitten|7060582|Twice Bitten (Chicagoland Vampires, #3)|Chloe Neill|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1261605570s/7060582.jpg|7312508] because the ending was full of WTH moments. My hope is that it isn't 3/4 full of recaps and we fall quickly into the story's continuation.
