INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER
Kerri Maniscalco makes her adult debut with this New York Times bestselling sensation, a "hot" new standalone fantasy romance (Jennifer L. Armentrout) about a dark prince battling an impossible curse-and the artist who might be the only one who can set him free.
Sinner. Villain. Wicked.
The Prince of Envy has never claimed to be a saint. But when a cryptic note arrives, signaling the beginning of a deadly game, he knows it will take more than a hint of sin to win and save his falling demon court. Riddles, hexed objects, anonymous players, nothing will stand in his way, though none of his meticulous plans prepare him for her, the frustrating artist who ignites his sin like no other…
Virtuous. Darling. Liar.
The trouble with scoundrels and blackguards is that they haven't a modicum of honor, a fact Miss Camilla Antonius learns after one desperate mistake allows Waverly Green's most notorious rake to blackmail her. To avoid a ruinous scandal, Camilla is forced to enter a devil's bargain with Envy, little expecting his game will awaken her true nature . . .
Together, Envy and Camilla must embark on a perilous journey through the Underworld-from glittering demon courts to the sultry vampire realm and beyond-while trying to avoid the most dangerous trap of all: falling in love.

5⭐️ Really enjoyed the story and characters… liked the twist and the ending
I enjoyed this one more than I'd expected, but ...
- It felt a bit wordier than necessary; I had to keep myself from skimming in parts
I can’t believe I finished this book. I don’t even understand this book. This book is like 3 different books were put into a blender with some porn. I need to go read war and peace or some shit to cleanse my soul.
It was truly a great story, exactly what I was looking for.
It's been a while since I've read a book in this genre, or at least a good one in this genre. But here, I found everything I usually seek in these types of books. The author has truly managed to strike a balance between a complex storyline and an appropriate amount of passionate romance. What is more, she created two main characters whose relationship we can genuinely believe.
These are precisely the main characters I love to read about in my books. Envy and Camilla are complex figures with very distinct personalities. Their banter was simply outstanding. I love witnessing two strong personalities clash on the pages of my book, especially in a case like this where they have to collaborate to achieve a common goal.
I had no trouble believing that there was something more than just desire connecting them. The author truly succeeded in giving depth to Envy and Camilla while also showing that they genuinely complement each other well. The entire story had a great pace and was intriguing. And it was unique enough that I didn't feel like I was reading something I've encountered many times before. Of course, there was also an element of something familiar, which made this story even easier to dive into.
I'm aware that this book is set in the world the author previously created for another series, which I haven't read so far. This book has definitely encouraged me to pick up that series, and I hope we'll also get stories for the other brothers. It's truly an interesting world, and in my opinion, the author has shown that she can tell a compelling story within it.
