Although

That Weekend was a fun book to read, the whole story started to devolve into chaos once the crux of the mystery was revealed. I feel like Thomas added in too many "surprise twists" at the end of the book. The twists seemed to be placed somewhat randomly—like they were placed in the story to fill some subjective, obligatory twist quota—to the point that any message Thomas was trying to get across was undermined. By the end of

That Weekend, I felt greatly dissatisfied.
