Who Would Like This Book:
Fans of character-driven fantasy with deeply flawed heroines will find a lot to love here. Nesta's journey through self-loathing, trauma, and ultimately self-acceptance is raw and realistic, making her arc arguably the most compelling in the series. The story also delivers on female friendship, empowerment, and redemption, with plenty of swoony moments for romantasy lovers. Readers who like strong, prickly female leads and adult-level spice - plus the kind of found family feels that made previous ACOTAR books a hit - should give this a try.
Who May Not Like This Book:
If you’re hoping for fast-paced plotting or rich fantasy world-building, you might be disappointed. The book focuses heavily on Nesta’s internal struggles and recovery, sometimes at the expense of broader plot or secondary character development. There’s a lot of graphic adult content (especially compared to earlier books), which is not for everyone, and some readers found the repetitive themes and lengthy introspection to drag. Those not invested in Nesta may find her difficult to root for, and long-time fans have called out inconsistencies with character behaviors, especially around trauma, and missed opportunities for richer conflict and resolution.

From The Publisher:
Sarah J. Maas' sexy, richly imagined series continues with the journey of Feyre's fiery sister, Nesta.
Nesta Archeron has always been prickly-proud, swift to anger, and slow to forgive. And ever since being forced into the Cauldron and becoming High Fae against her will, she's struggled to find a place for herself within the strange, deadly world she inhabits. Worse, she can't seem to move past the horrors of the war with Hybern and all she lost in it.
The one person who ignites her temper more than any other is Cassian, the battle-scarred warrior whose position in Rhysand and Feyre's Night Court keeps him constantly in Nesta's orbit. But her temper isn't the only thing Cassian ignites. The fire between them is undeniable and only burns hotter as they are forced into close quarters with each other.
Meanwhile, the treacherous human queens who returned to the Continent during the last war have forged a dangerous new alliance, threatening the fragile peace that has settled over the realms. And the key to halting them might very well rely on Cassian and Nesta facing their haunting pasts.
Against the sweeping backdrop of a world seared by war and plagued with uncertainty, Nesta and Cassian battle monsters from within and without as they search for acceptance - and healing - in each other's arms.

It wasn’t perfect but that’s ok. I loved this book, even if I hated Nesta for longer than I should. But that’s what happens when you hate yourself right? You see that part of yourself that is flawed and you reject it because it scares you. Cassian was in a word, wonderful. But we all knew that. From the beginning our bat boy was loyal and lovable. My brain loves Rhys, always and forever. But the romantic heartbroken girl who read romance novels for so long, she loves Cassian. Causes he’s not perfect. He’s flawed. And like calls to like.
Was such a good book. Was not my favorite in the series and was incredibly slow in the beginning but overall a good read
Many people have said that this last book of the series was their favorite, and I have come to the conclusion that they were right. I love the POV switch to the eldest sister and how she navigates her trauma and the people she helps rise up with her.
I know this one is supposed to be all GRL PWR but I just HATE Nesta. Cassian isn’t compelling. Feyre has a completely different tone out of nowhere. Meh. Got juicy at the end.
Nesta? Love her. Totally relate to her character and how she grew from ACOTAR to now. Can’t wait to see where the series goes!

I can’t find the words to describe how I’m feeling right now.it was definitely a journey to read this book alone but to read this entire series as well .you get to know the characters and they grow on you and to part ways with them is so hard that alone made me cry.nesta’s story was definitely more about finding herself, forgiving herself and the people she met along the way.the friendship in this was more than I could ever ask.it was so beautiful and heartbreaking.learning about what they all went through was just so painful just tell me why does sarah j mass writes these horrible backstories to pretty much every character like yes I cried is that what you wanted, are you happy now? I had mixed feelings about nesta and how her book will be I still think not all her actions were justified but she came a long way for sure and seeing her find her happiness and will to live basically by the end is an unmatched feeling.I actually CAN NOT wait for the next book I need it ASAP thank you
Well developed characters, it's my favorite book in the series
Loved. It.
