Who Would Like This Book:

If you love LitRPGs with crunchy stats, fast leveling, and a big emphasis on skill evolution, "The Primal Hunter" will be right up your alley. Zogarth's worldbuilding puts a unique spin on the 'system apocalypse' trope, blending intense action with clever progression mechanics and a dash of dark humor. The story is perfect for readers who enjoy overpowered protagonists, deep skill trees, and a mix of fantasy, sci-fi, and isekai vibes. If you’re a fan of series like "Defiance of the Fall" or "Azarinth Healer", and prefer a protagonist who grows from awkward office worker to apex hunter, you’ll probably get hooked - and there’s a massive backlog to binge!

Who May Not Like This Book:

Some readers are put off by the repetitive prose, long dungeon arcs, and copious stat pages (if you hate reading character sheets, beware!). The protagonist can feel bland or too overpowered at times, leading to a sense of low stakes. Parts of the narrative, especially early on, can drag, and the focus on fighting and numbers might overshadow character depth for those looking for a more literary experience. There are also occasional pacing issues, and not everyone loves the author's approach to fan feedback or some of the drama around the series.

A stats-heavy LitRPG romp with fast-paced leveling and a delightfully detailed world - a must for gamelit fans, though the repetitive structure and marathon dungeon scenes won’t be for everyone.

Writing quality is barely tolerable, character consistency is non-existent. Reads like a collection of adolescent gaming fantasies rather than an actual story, with characters completely changing personalities depending on what the scenario calls for. This series might be the one that maxes out the LitRPG trope of giving the Main Character an utterly ridiculous amount of power for no reason.

This is my favourite book. I love absolutely everything about it. Jake (the main character) is a very realistic character that portrays very well everyday life through not so every day (more like extraordinary) circumstances. After reading the Primal Hunter for me no other litrpg book or series compares. I liked this book so much i have read the current books available (10) 34 times ! (P.S: all the books are available on kindle unlimited even though if you want nr.10 you need to pre-order, which costs money).

After tens of LitRPGs i've read this Ranks 2nd place for me (after "He who fights with Monsters") but only because its not that far into the Story yet.

It is by far the most promissing series of the genre!

Clear must-read for me! Nothing more I can say without spoiling anythnig .. not tmany side-characters but the ones that are there are hilarious.
