From The Publisher:
One year ago…
My family is gone. My parents. My twin sister. All of them murdered by the man who has stalked me for years. He nearly killed me, too. But I got away and he's still out there, searching for me. He won't find me. At least, I hope not. Thanks to WITSEC, I've been given a new life with a new identity.
The present…
My uncle, my only living relative, has helped me glue myself back together and given me the tools I'll need to survive. I'm not fixed and my grief is heavy, but I'm at a point where I can put one foot in front of the other to try to move on.
I know my future will be hard and lonely. I must stay strong and focus on the good. I'm getting a second chance at life. I am safe. My new home is beautiful. The four brothers who live next door are even more so. Little do I know that Colt, Creed, Keelan, and Knox will soon become my everything. It's as if my lonely heart screamed out for someone good to find me. Four answered back.
***WARNING This is a reverse harem romance. Contains violence, graphic killing, foul language, and sexual content. Some parts may be triggering. Find Me is book 1 out of 4 in the series.***

This is not something that I should typically enjoy, yet in a strange way, this book managed to captivate me.
There are so many elements in this story that I usually dislike in my books. Starting with the main characters being too young. Perhaps the only thing that truly fits my taste is the reverse harem aspect, but even in this case, the fact that it involves four brothers sharing one girl isn't entirely my cup of tea.
I think this book partly works for me because, despite the young age of the main characters, they don't behave overly childishly. There's a bit of teenage drama typical of new adult, but it's written in a way that I can overlook it. Even the first-person narration from the perspective of the young Shiloh doesn't bother me as much as it could have.
I'm also surprised that the romance in this book works quite well, and everything unfolds quite naturally. I didn't have major issues believing in the feelings between the main characters. Perhaps everything happens a bit too quickly, but not enough to bother me significantly. I'm not a huge fan of brothers in reverse harem romances; I prefer when they're friends. But that's mainly because I like when there's also sexual tension between the men. I think sex scenes are less awkward in those cases compared to when it involves brothers. There's something slightly strange about it in this case too.
Shiloh has survived the brutal murder of her family and still relives those events and struggles with trauma. Because she often replays those events in her dreams, we have quite detailed and highly emotional descriptions of brutal scenes. Sensitive readers should be aware of this.
Although this isn't something I should enjoy so much, I'm definitely in the right mood for this book. There's a very high chance that I'll immediately read the next book in this series.
