I'm really just going to give a review on this first book, because I blitzed through this trilogy over the course of Friday and Saturday. Which tells you that, at least for me, it was hard to put down.
You know, I don't read a lot of contemporary romance - I just generally am not that into it. But something about these people - how these guys clearly cared about each other enough to stay together but were hurting so much they were damaging each other - was really compelling. Also, I have to say, there's m/m in this series and while usually I don't care about that one way or the other - like, it doesn't bother me, but it doesn't get me hot and bothered either - in this series I loved it. And that was because ... their relationships were just so emotionally loaded, the healing it represented when these guys come together ... I couldn't help but be moved.
For me, this series was just utterly character-driven, and riveting. I really enjoyed it.
