Who Would Like This Book:

If you love overpowered protagonists, magical world-building, and fast-paced adventure, "The Expansion (Legend of the Arch Magus)" could be your next binge read! Readers enjoy the satisfying progress of a mighty mage rebuilding a forgotten town and expanding his influence, all fueled by clever use of magic and strategy. Fans of progression fantasy and series like "The Beginning After the End" or "Release That Witch" will feel right at home here, especially if you like city-building, light politics, and lots of magical problem-solving without too much romance bogging things down.

Who May Not Like This Book:

If you crave deep plots, highly detailed worldbuilding, or nuanced characters, you might find this one lacking. Some readers feel the story can be shallow, with foundational characters and plot lines that don't always feel fully fleshed out. The pacing zips by, sometimes at the expense of coherence and realism, and there are complaints that the book can seem derivative of other works in the genre. If you prefer books that explore their concepts with more depth or complexity, this one may not hook you.

A fun, fast-paced romp with an OP mage - great for fans of light progression fantasy and magical city building, but don't expect deep worldbuilding or complex plots.

The plot involves city building, war strategy, and a plethora of magic, all woven together in a progression fantasy setting. Writing/Prose:

The setting incorporates a fantasy world rich in magic, focusing particularly on kingdom and village development.

Pacing:

The pacing is generally fast, which can be appealing to some readers, but may leave others longing for more depth.

Loved It

I loved this book and all the following ones. They are lighthearted and the power of knowledge is a key threw the books. I loved that. The MC is a genius in disguise. I really like the world and the concept of magic the author created. I also bought the audiobooks on audible. The speaker does a pretty awesome work.

About the Author:

Just a random guy who ran out of things to read, so he decided to write stories instead. Currently, he is a medical intern (exhausted) caught in a dilemma of choosing between passion and prestige.
