Who Would Like This Book:

If you're into wild creature features and dark humor, The Haunted Forest Tour is a total blast. Imagine Jurassic Park, but instead of dinosaurs it’s a chaotic parade of monsters - and just as things seem like they couldn’t get worse, they do! This one’s perfect for fans of fast-paced, over-the-top horror with witty dialogue and relentless action. It doesn't take itself too seriously and delivers pure popcorn fun from start to finish. If you like your scares with a side of laughter, you'll be right at home.

Who May Not Like This Book:

Some readers found the characters a bit shallow, especially the female ones, and thought the monster parade went so overboard that it became hard to get attached to any one creature. A few were put off by parts of the humor, repetitive banter among villains, or some cringey dialogue. If you're looking for a deep, literary horror experience with nuanced characters, this might not be your favorite. Also, it can get pretty gory and campy - so skip it if that’s not your vibe!

A wild, monster-packed romp that excels at fun, fast-paced mayhem - great for anyone craving scary creatures and dark comedy, but not for those seeking subtle or serious horror.

I never got to the action, it was all gore initially. I have a friend reading it and I'm having him explain a censored version of what happens because the premise is cool. I'm just squeamish.

I really enjoyed the idea of the forest, what really killed it for me was the treatment of one of the woman characters. She was only ever described from the point of view of men lusting after her, and then her death ultimately served to make a man change.
