I loved the characters, and I'm a big fan of Terry Pratchett's writing style. I also enjoyed the themes about what makes a society, and I found the plot really interesting.

Maybe I'm just in a really good reading mood lately but I think this is one of my favorite discworld books yet. Guess you can't go wrong with a book about a cat and a bunch of intelligent rats with names like Dangerous Beans and Additives :D
