From The Publisher:
I'm not so different from most people.
Like everyone else, I have life goals.
Goal #1: Become a real girl instead of this invisible ghost thing I currently am.
Goal #2: Convince the four men I've been haunting for the past five years to pick me to be their new toy after goal one is complete.
Goal #3: Figure out who/what I am and why I can't remember anything past the five years I've been haunting this quad.
Goal #4: Eat popcorn.
See? Perfectly normal. Sort of.
Gotta start small, after all.
It's not like anyone else is perfect either.

I really love this book, and this series. Full disclosure? I started reading it yesterday, I stayed up reading until 5am, and I'm about to start book 4 (the finale... *sob*).
I didn't know if reverse harem was going to be a trope I enjoyed, honestly, because I think the only examples I've seen up it are the LKH series that I quit reading because ugh. It's not really a fair gauge of the trope, a friend argued, and pointed me to this book.
What works about the trope for me, in this series, is that it isn't some crazy insta-love/lust as if men are immediately drawn to the magic vagina. There's a lot of distrust, a lot of work that has to go in. Also, unlike in Merry Gentry or Anita Blake books, there is a real story that fills the pages - it is NOT 90% sex. It's probably like ... 10% sex. And that's critical for me - I need the story. I want to know the characters, I want to see evolution, I want to be engaged by the arc.
I love unfolding what the hell is going on in this series (pun not intended) - it is a fabulous, complicated, confusing puzzle to unravel. And also addictive, because like I said, I was up reading until 5am last night, and have blitzed through the first 3 books in less than 24 hours.
I love the main character, and her fragility, which she masks with humor and rage. I love that she doesn't just let the guys be dicks to her, though I wish she actually made them work more to win her over. I agree with what she herself says: they don't deserve her. She bends over backwards for them and they can barely tolerate her. But I also love watching her erode their barriers.
Really strong series. When I finish (and recover my sleep) I'm going to have to look into the other things the author has written.
HIGHLY RECCOMMEND! Surprisely hilarious and moving and loving the build up with the romance, I fell for our heroine very quickly, she's cheeky and horny yet endearing. The guys are all hot as hell and bad ass!
The story is interesting and a new angle on the supernatural side of things. The relationships develop naturally and I'm half way through the second book and hooked!
About the Author:
Kristy Cunning (March 08, 1984 - July 24, 2021) is one of the pen names C.M. Owens writes under. Though she came from a family of musicians, she has zero abilities with instruments; she sounds like a strangled cat when she sings; and her dancing is downright embarrassing.
Just ask anyone who knows her. Her creativity rests solely in the written word. Her family is grateful that she gave up her quest to become a famous singer.
