The main character, Clara Gardner, is a quart angel, meaning she is part angel and part human.
Clara receives visions that guide her toward fulfilling her purpose, which involves saving a boy from a forest fire.
The story is set in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, which adds a unique and picturesque backdrop to the narrative.
Clara has a love triangle with Christian, the popular boy she is destined to save, and Tucker, her best friend's brother.
Clara's mother is also part angel, and their relationship is central to the story, showcasing family dynamics.

As Clara tries to find her way in a world she no longer understands, she encounters unseen dangers and choices she never thought she'd have to make-between the boy in her vision and the boy in her life, between honesty and deceit, love and duty, good and evil. . . . This was an enjoyable read, though I probably would have enjoyed this book more if I had read this when I was a teenager instead of as an adult in my 20s.
