Sadly, imo Christine was not the one for Wulfric. Would have given it 5 stars otherwise. It would have been nice if the heroine was introduced in the previous books as well, to match the build up of Wulfric.
IMO, Wulfric had more (or the most) chemistry with Eve; maybe it had to do with the fact that she was the first to stand up to him and "earned" his respect. And the first to note that he does have a heart. I can't help but think theirs would have been a better love story.
The hero doesn't deserve the heroine
Wulfric is an excellent main character who we've met throughout the series and Christine is a wonderful match for him. Her prose is always wonderful.
Move over Mr. Darcy!
