Who Would Like This Book:

If you're in the mood for wild escapism, steamy romance, and a hefty dose of humor, this book is a must-try! "Ice Planet Barbarians" shines as a palate cleanser: think crash-landed human women trying to survive on an icy alien world, only to discover a tribe of surprisingly tender (and very blue) alien men. Despite the out-there premise and quirky details (hello, language barriers and cultural mishaps), there is genuine character growth, creative worldbuilding, and an overarching message of found family and comfort. This is perfect for romance readers who love fated mates tropes, bonkers plots, women-centric stories, campy adventure, and a lot of spice. If you loved monster, shifter, or sci-fi romance, or just want something totally different but addicting, dive in!

Who May Not Like This Book:

This series is not for everyone. The first book includes some dark themes and scenes (please check content warnings, especially for sexual assault - not involving the main couple but present in early chapters). Some readers might be turned off by the instant-lust/fated-mates trope, the repetitive formula of later books, or the over-the-top, sometimes silly worldbuilding. If you're looking for slow-burn romance, serious sci-fi, or prefer your spice dialed down, this may not be your cup of tea. The writing has some clunky moments, unusual vocabulary ("cootie" anyone?), and can lean into cheesy territory. Also, if you dislike books where consent is nuanced or want more realism in relationships, this isn't for you.

A spicy, totally addictive, and surprisingly cozy alien romance romp. Not for the faint of heart or the serious-minded, but excellent for escapism and good vibes - now I get the hype!

From The Publisher:

LOST You'd think being abducted by aliens would be the worst thing that could happen to me. And you'd be wrong. Because now, the aliens are having ship trouble, and they've left their cargo of human women - including me - on an ice planet. FOUND And the only native inhabitant I've met? He's big, horned, blue, and really, really has a thing for me...

To be fair, the book was good. I think part of what shot my rating down was that it was so overhyped on TikTok. I wasn't as impressed as I felt that all the positivity around it had implied I should be. It's just not a standout and it didn't make me /need/ to go back for the next one. I could probably pass this one by and not really feel like I was missing out on much. That being said, if the second book falls in my lap at a good price I would absolutely read it. Just nothing I would go out of my way for.

Definitely not the best book I've read. Erotica with consent issues.

This is an easy read that doesn't take itself too seriously and left me feeling good after reading it. There are hot as hell aliens with protective instincts that make you want one of your own - and even hotter under the sheets!! Loved it.
